About the school
Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic Ijebu Igbo is a public institution. It is located on the rolling hills of Atikori in Ijebu Igbo. However, the school is owned by the Ogun State government.
The Polytechnic was established sometime between 1979 to 1983 by the government of Late Chief Olabisi Onabanjo.
On its establishment, it inherited the former site of the Technical College. Unfortunately, the subsequent Military government of Nigeria didn’t allow the school to stand.
But in 2005, the school was re-ignited. Today, it is named after the political and social activist, Late Senator Abraham Adesanya.
