Moreover, UMYU was established in the year 2006. It is located in Katsina, the capital city of the State.
In honour of the Late President of Nigeria, Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, the name of the university was changed to its present one.
Currently, the schools enrolls about 11,000 students (in both undergraduate and postgraduate). They also offer admission to candidates from any background.
Nevertheless, every applicant must have their cut-off mark and 5 O’Level credits to gain admission.
