Formerly known an Northwest University Kano, Yusuf Maitama Sule University (YUMSUK) is a public university. It was established in 2012.
YUMSUK currently has two campuses. The main campus is located along Kabuga Kofar Ruwa Road. The second is located in Kano town. Presently, the school has about 7000 undergraduate students.
As a public school, YUMSUK admits candidates from any background. However, applicants must score their cut-off mark and have the necessary O’Level grades.
