Federal University Ndufu-alike, Ikwo (FUNAI) which is a young federal university in Nigeria. It was founded on 26th February, 2011. It is located in a town called Ndufu-Alike, in Ikwo, Ebonyi State.

This university was renamed Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike Ikwo (AE-FUNAI) in 2019, after the former vice president of Nigeria, Sir Alex Ekwueme.

How can I get admission in FUNAI?

Gaining admission into a university is now very competitive even in AE-FUNAI, as lots of students are applying for admission. Unfortunately, there is no space yet for all.

However, it is easy to obtain admission into FUNAI if one has all the requirements needed to gain admission into the University.

What are the requirements to gain admission into FUNAI?

There are no short-cuts to gaining admission in FUNAI, you just have to work hard and do the necessary things. There are certain requirements which makes one eligible to gain admission into FUNAI:

  • Candidates must have at least 5 credits in their WAEC, NECO, SSCE at first sitting or at least 6 credits for two sittings which includes Mathematics, English and 3 other relevant subjects concerning the course you want to study.
  • Candidates must score up to 180 and above to be qualified enough to apply for their post UTME. Proper JAMB subject combination is also necessary.
  • Candidates must prepare well for their post UTME to at least boost his/her chance to gaining admission into the school.

Does FUNAI accept second choice?

To be honest, no university prefers to be a second choice as that you either in for them or out. So FUNAI does not accept students who have chosen it as a second choice of institution.

So during your JAMB registration, you should choose AE2as your first choice.

Does FUNAI write Post UTME?

Yes, AE-FUNAI writes post UTME. However it is an important criteria through which they determine candidates that will be offered provisional admission.
