Federal University, Oye-Ekiti is the only federal government-owned university located in Ekiti State. It was established in 2011.

Although it is among the youngest universities, the University is growing rapidly.

Postgraduate Fees

So far, an official document stating the fees paid by FUOYE postgraduate students has not been published publicly.

However, from our research we found that the fees rise from N159, 000 for Postgraduate Diploma, and N170, 000 for Master’s.

Meanwhile, you can always confirm in the school.


Admission Guidelines

Undergraduate

Students are admitted into the undergraduate programmes of FUOYE via two modes: UTME and Direct Entry (DE).

DE candidates are admitted into 200 level while UTME candidates are admitted into 100 level.

To be admitted through either modes, you must meet the following admission requirements.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be 16 years and above.
  • Candidates must possess Five (5) credits in SSCE in relevant subjects including Mathematics and English, obtained in not more than two (2) sittings.
  • UTME candidates must score up to 180 and bought the University’s post UTME form.
  • In addition to the O’ Level requirements, Direct Entry candidates must have either NCE, OND, IJMB orHND and A’ Level with passes in two relevant subjects.

Postgraduate

The postgraduate studies done at FUOYE are encapsulated in three programmes: Masters, Master of Philosophy and Doctorate Degree.

Requirements

  • Candidates for M. Phil or PhD must have scored between 55.00% and 59.99% Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) at
    Master’s level.
  • A candidate applying for the Master’s degree programme must have made a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division) in his/her Bachelor’s degree programme.

Important Notice!

  • A programme automatically lapses at the expiration of the maximum
    duration for each programme. However, a candidate may apply for an extension of not more than 12 months.
  • Candidates in regular employment must submit formal letter of release for postgraduate studies issued by their employer.
  • All applicants who are not graduates of FUOYE must request their former Schools to forward directly to the Secretary, School of
    Postgraduate Studies the academic transcripts of their First Degrees or Master’s degree with respect to applicants for Master’s and Doctoral Degrees, respectively.
