Candidates seeking admission in Imo State Polytechnic must score a minimum of 120 in JAMB to be eligible for admission.
This means that you will not gain admission if you make anything lesser than this mark. But if you fall below this average, you must not lose all hope on admission.
Instead of a full-time programme, you can enroll for a part-time programme. Or, simply buy JAMB change of course/institution form and switch to a private polytechnic or college of education.

About the school
The present-day Imo State Polytechnic, Umuagwo was established in 1978 as Michael Okpara College of Agriculture. However, in 2007 the tertiary institution got its present name.
The school is owned by the Imo State government. They also offer courses leading to the award of National Diploma and Higher National Diploma certificates.
Although it was formed as a college of agriculture, the school presently run courses in areas including engineering, science, food technology and so on.
