ABOUT THE NASARAWA STATE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Nasarawa state government has been known to support a large number of their indigene students through the payment of this bursary to deserving students through the scholarship Board.
The Board has been performing its major functions by giving financial assistance to Nasarawa State indigent students in tertiary Institutions.
ELIGIBILITY / REQUIREMENTS
There are a few factors which are very important for an application for this scholarship to be considered and eventually successful, some of which include:
- The applicant must be a student who is of Nasarawa State origin.
- You are required to be at a minimum age of 18 years of age.
- If you are not up to 18 years of age, you MUST submit your JAMB registration number.
- You should be a registered full-time student of any Public Tertiary Institutions (State or Federal).
- Diploma, Masters, or Ph.D., NCE, and other students are not eligible; only undergraduate students are eligible to apply.
- Only students of approved public and private-owned schools (University, Polytechnics, and College of Educations) are eligible to apply.
- Applicants must have a very good CGPA to be able to apply.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR APPLICATION
The documents required to submit an application include:
- SSCE /GCE O’LEVEL certificate.
- Original Jamb admission letter.
- Admission letter of current institution.
- Information on year, course of study, and duration of the course.
- Original local government indigene certificate.
- Birth certificate.
- Original school fees receipt.
HOW TO APPLY
The application for the state scholarship is carried out online via the official online website which is www.nassarawastatescholarshipboard.org.ng there is an online form which is filled and can be submitted online or to the address of the scholarship board.
CURRENT STATUS OF THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
After 2014, the Nasarawa State government scholarship has been defunct till date. There has been no hope given on when this scholarship will resume again.
The website and indeed all relating to this scholarship have been unreachable since the said year. After the disbursement of the bursary in 2014, the Board had complained bitterly of inadequate funding, and as such has not been able to carry out the scholarship in recent times.
