Candidates who chose this polytechnic in the last JAMB registration must score at least 140 UTME score, to be eligible for admission.

However, applicants who are unable to beat this requirement will not gain admission. Hence they might want to consider other alternatives as the one shared below:

Since Ramatpoly runs NCE, Diploma and Remedial courses, they can apply form them instead of a full-time ND programme. Also, they can change their institution to another polytechnic via the JAMB change of course/institution form.

Departmental cut-off mark

Since the admission requirements of various departments in Ramat Poly vary, their admission marks also vary.

So, while having at least 140 in JAMB will make you eligible to sit for the school’s post UTME, it might not be enough to get you into your desired course.

About the polytechnic

In 1973, the defunct North-Eastern government established Ramat Polytechnic as Government Technical College. However, in 1978 the institution was changed to Ramat College of Technology. Then in 1979, it became a full-fledged polytechnic.

This school which is located in the Maiduguri, the capital city of Borno State has 5 schools, across which are 30 departments.

They award OND and HND in the undergraduate level. They also offer certificates in Diploma, NCE, and Remedial programme.

Being approved by NBTE and JAMB, they accept application from any candidate despite their background. Moreover, their fee is less than N100,000.
